„Ossis“? „Wessis“? Both outdated!

betr. „Kraftclub“, taz vom 14. 10. 17

Dear taz, your announcement of the upcoming tour of the band Kraftclub in last weekend’s issue showed a frightening lack of professionalism and style.

You wrote that the band sings in German because they are missing English language skills due to being „Ossis“.

Well, it is easy to check that all the band members went to school in the united Germany. Therefore, congratulations for identifying a gap in German education! Perhaps you should follow-up with a lead article on it? Your short article also fosters populismus and discrimination.

Dear taz, you could do much better!

Why don’t you make news by being the first German newspaper to remove „Ossi“ and „Wessi“ from your vocabulary list? Same as you support equal rights in gender, sexual preferences, nationalities, etc.?

That would be more the kind of taz I’d like to continue with.
